Frequently asked questions
Preparing well ahead of your move can help our movers finish the move faster and help you save
money.
1. Use medium size boxes rather than small boxes. Label your boxes as kitchen, living room,
bedroom, etc., for our movers to put them in the right place at your destination. Also, label
"fragile" for fragile items for our movers not to stack them with other boxes.
2. Reserve the elevator and parking space closest to the entrance to save time for loading and
unloading.
3. Hire 3 movers rather than 2 if you live in a two or more bedroom dwelling. The third mover
can
pack the truck and secure your items more properly while the other 2 movers are moving the
items. It makes the move more efficient and helps save time.
4. Remove all items from the drawers and wardrobes.
The process of moving includes packing, preparing, driving time and travel time, loading and
offloading, and finishing. If you do the packing and prepping yourself, you can save time.
1. Driving time Travel time: The driving time is the time taken to convey your stuff from the
previous dwelling to the new place. The driving time is affected by traffic congestion, weather
conditions and so on. We charge a 1-hour travel time which covers the travel to your place and
the return to our home terminal after we have completed the move.
2. Loading and offloading: Based on our experience, loading and offloading can take
- 1. 3 to 4 hours to load and offload half a truck load with 2 movers
- 2. 6 to 8 hours to load and offload full truck load with 2 movers
- 3. 4 to 6 hours to load and offload full truck load with 3 movers
3. Finishing: After we have delivered all your items to your new place, the move is considered completed; however, we can help you with unpacking, assembling, and arranging the furniture if you ask for it.
Our maximum coverage is $30,000 provided that the value of your items has been disclosed before the service. Also, the maximum refund for damaged items is as follows:
- 1. Tv, stereo, or other electronics: $550
- 2. Sofa: $550
- 3. Dining table; $350
- 4. Drawers, bookshelves, desk: $300
- 5. Railing and stairs: $300
- 6. Glassware, mirror, and fragile: $150
- 7. Drywall or scratches on paint: $150
If you believe our maximum insurance does not cover the value of your items, we recommend that you take out additional third-party insurance for the move or delivery.
We charge a minimum two-hour fee for moving commitment and a minimum one-hour fee for delivery. In addition to the travel time and taxes.
